How I lost 100# in less than a year.
My Take on Obesity.
The microchip era, desk jobs, endless screens? That alone has dropped our daily movement way down. Back in the Industrial Revolution days, even factory work burned calories - but now we're sitting for 8 hours burning a lot fewer calories per day.
That alone piles on weight. But here's the kicker - Studies from the last few years say diet trumps exercise for America's obesity boom. Ultra-processed junk, huge portions, sugar bombs, fast food, and “snacks” should be a no-no if you need to drop weight.
Those types of “foods” exploded in my childhood years right as “office jobs” took over. You sit all day, grab a giant soda, burger & fries for lunch and then a candy bar 'cause you're bored or stressed—then boom!! All that excess energy gets stored as, you guessed it, fat.
Meal frequency? Research shows only 1 or 2 solid meals a day can actually help IF they are no sugar and very low carbs. This is so much better than “grazing” on the other stuff, which only ramps up your hunger and leads to overeating.
Timing: But if those meals are calorie-dense and timed late (like eating after 6pm), your body stores more, especially with zero activity.
So yeah, a sedentary life with surger and breads in the lead is the perfect storm for obesity.
